In this episode, the story's domestic, homey tone finally blends with the space and thriller elements. I've never been a fan of the "protagonist's love interest has a suitor who's superior to the protagonist in every way, but she won't end up with him because being authentic is what matters" trope, but since this anime draws heavily on its inspiration from old rom-coms, it doesn't work too badly. It serves quite well as comedy.
