The cyberpunk aesthetic holds up surprisingly well for 1995, with detailed cityscapes and an atmospheric soundtrack that keeps the mood grounded. If you liked Ghost in the Shell's philosophical edge or the android-identity tension in Ergo Proxy, this scratches a similar itch in a much more compact package. Four episodes, original story, no filler. It's the kind of show where the setup alone is doing a lot of heavy lifting, and it earns the investment.
