Anyway, I'm Falling in Love with You. Season 2
📖 SYNOPSIS
For Mizuho Nishino, the biggest challenge in life used to be drawing manga. Then her childhood friend Kizuki told her he's in love with her, and now she can't even look at their friend group the same way. This 12-episode TV series picks up right where Season 1 left off, with Mizuho stuck between processing that confession and trying to keep things normal with her four closest guy friends in the quiet coastal town of Koigahama. Spoiler: things don't stay normal. The other guys start showing their cards too, and what used to be an easy, familiar dynamic gets tangled with jealousy and unspoken feelings. If you liked the slow emotional unraveling in Fruits Basket or the way Ouran High School Host Club balanced group chemistry with genuine romantic tension, this hits a similar nerve — though it leans harder into the bittersweet, melancholy side of things. The animation by Typhoon Graphics really sells the seaside setting; there's a softness to it that matches the tone perfectly. And Keiji Inai's soundtrack does a lot of quiet heavy lifting during the more vulnerable moments. It's a reverse harem that actually cares about the friendships underneath the romance, which makes the stakes feel real instead of just picking a favorite boy. Think Brothers Conflict but with more emotional honesty and less spectacle. If you're in the mood for something tender and a little sad about growing up, this one's worth your time.
