EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting at the exact midpoint of the 12-episode run, 'Face to Face' follows the revelations dropped in episode 5's 'Build Limbs' and uses them as a foundation for deeper character exploration between Kouichi and Mei. This is the calm before the storm — the series transitions here from establishing its horror premise to arming the audience with the knowledge needed for the escalating chaos of the back half. Everything that unfolds from episode 7 onward builds directly on the connections and lore established in this pivotal middle chapter.
