EPISODE CONTEXT
Following Episode 11's difficult turn, where Misuzu's deteriorating condition and fading memory signal that the story is reaching its inevitable end, Episode 12 brings Misuzu and Haruko's relationship to its emotional culmination. This is the true finale of Air's central narrative — the subsequent and final episode of the series functions as a recap summarizing Misuzu's arc rather than advancing new story.
