EPISODE CONTEXT
The first episode established Kenji's lone-wolf tendencies and left a cost attached to them in the form of Paul's injury. 'Runaway' is a direct response to that fallout, forcing Kenji into a new dynamic with Hans while Paul's situation remains unresolved. This episode functions as the foundation of the Kenji-Hans partnership, a thread that will continue to develop and be tested across the remaining ten episodes of the season.
