A Tale of the Secret Saint
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Fia comes from a family where knighthood runs in the blood — but she's the worst one. Not "underdog who secretly has potential" worst — genuinely the least talented person in her bloodline. But she trains anyway, because becoming a knight is the only thing she's ever wanted. Then her proving mission goes sideways in the most dramatic way possible: instead of a small demon, she runs into a dragon. Near death, her memories crack open, and it turns out she lived a whole other life as a legendary Saint who took down the Demon King. Now she's got immense holy power on top of her knight training, which sounds great until you consider why she died in that previous life. So Fia does the reasonable thing — she hides everything and keeps pretending she's just a mediocre knight-in-training. The core tension here is someone sitting on world-shaking abilities while trying to blend in, and the show plays with that dynamic in ways that are both funny and genuinely tense. There's solid action when things escalate, but the quieter moments where Fia nearly blows her cover carry their own weight. If you liked the reincarnation angle in Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles or the hidden-identity tension in The World's Finest Assassin, this hits a similar spot. It also shares DNA with The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent, but leans harder into combat and adventure. Felix Film is handling the adaptation for a 2026 release, and the light novel source material gives it plenty to work with.
