Kai drops you into a post-apocalyptic urban wasteland where what's left of humanity is fighting through something between a warzone and a nightmare — the original description literally calls it a "thrilling and perilous apocalyptic battlefield," which honestly sets the tone pretty well. This is an ONA coming out of Shenman Entertainment in 2026, and it's going for that urban fantasy angle where the ruins of civilization meet supernatural threats head-on. Details are still thin since this is an upcoming original project, but the setup is straightforward: the world spiraled out of control, and now people are scrapping to survive in what's left. Think less "rebuilding society" and more "every day is a boss fight." The action-fantasy blend with an urban setting suggests we're looking at something grounded in recognizable cityscapes that have gone very, very wrong. If you liked the desperate survival energy of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress or the gritty post-apocalyptic vibe of God Eater, this looks like it's playing in similar territory. There's also a bit of that Dorohedoro energy — chaotic, violent, fantasy elements woven into a decayed urban world where the rules have changed and everyone's just trying to not die.
