The cliffhanger was easily the strongest part. Youta realizing something terrifying is connected to Yuzu makes it feel like the real conflict is only just beginning.

Karin somehow became even more unlikeable. Every scene with her just makes you want Yuzu to stay as far away from that family as possible. 😭

I loved that Reiya handled Yuzu's situation legally instead of just threatening her family. Having her adopted by her grandparents was a surprisingly satisfying solution.

C'est un bon animé, je recommande, l'émotion et le suspense sont présents, dommage que ce ne soit pas en Français.

Those tiny spirits Reiya made for her made me so happy because they are way cuter than a giant dragon

Reiya has some weirdly dark possessive vibes and the way he wants to control every part of her life is a bit much even if the parents are terrible

I still cant get over Reiya making those tiny little spirits just because he was worried a dragon would scare her and he really is such a softie for her despite that scary reputation

I actually teared up when Reiya gave her back that fixed dress from her grandfather, because it showed he really values what she cares about

Karin throwing that bag in the river was actually so heartless and you can see why Yuzu is so broken when her own sister treats her like literal trash on the street

That forehead kiss when she was sleeping was everything and you can tell he is totally gone for her even if he acts all cool and composed in front of the staff

EPISODE CONTEXT

This is the concluding episode of the series — a two-episode ONA released in December 2021. Episode 1 introduced the central dynamic and the fantastical setting; Episode 2 is where that foundation pays off, bringing the short-form story to its close. There is no follow-up episode after this, so it functions as both a climax and a finale for the adaptation.
