Chimera Shadow Garden Opens
Megumi Fushiguro activates his Domain Expansion, 'Chimera Shadow Garden'. Blue cursed energy swirls, forming a skeletal construct as the world shifts into a dark, shadowy expanse. Reggie Star counters immediately, deploying a gridded, spherical barrier, explaining his technique's ability to neutralize domains. A frog-like shikigami from Megumi's shadows briefly interacts with the barrier, and suddenly Reggie is struck by an unseen force, blood streaming from his nose. His confidence wavers.
The Shadow's Grip Tightens
Megumi lunges, landing a forceful punch on Reggie, then binds him with tendrils of shadow. He explains his domain's incomplete nature allows for free shadow manipulation. Multiple shadow clones of Megumi appear and disappear, striking Reggie repeatedly as the environment darkens. Reggie is now falling, injured and disoriented. Megumi reveals the floor of his domain is a water-like shadow that manipulates gravity. He summons cars from the shadows, crushing Reggie. Despite being battered, Reggie stands defiantly, a manic grin on his bloodied face.
Reggie's Last Stand
Megumi declares his intent to crush Reggie completely, summoning a giant shadow elephant. The beast falls, submerging Reggie in the shadow-water. Reggie struggles, compressed under the immense weight. In a final, desperate act, Reggie reveals his last trick, dropping his entire house onto Megumi. Megumi's shadow clones brace for the impact. Reggie, now flattened, slowly closes his eyes, accepting defeat, but not before launching one last defiant, frustrated cry towards Megumi.
The Unseen Drowning
A flashback reveals the true nature of Reggie's defeat within the domain. He believes he has won, floating freely as Megumi's constructs disappear. He laughs in false triumph, only to feel the shadow-water pull him down. He struggles, realizing the dark liquid offers no oxygen, no buoyancy, nothing to save him. He closes his eyes, accepting his fate as he slowly sinks into the darkness of Megumi's shadow.
Reggie's Second Life
Megumi falls unconscious, exhausted but relieved, as his domain expands. Reggie's actual body appears, severely injured but intact, sitting on an upside-down car. He looks around, confused but still defiant, and taunts Megumi. Megumi's shadow then pulls Reggie's car, his last cursed tool, into the ground. Reggie is pulled in after it, consumed by the darkness. His house shatters, revealing a single knife. With a deranged smile, Reggie reaches for the weapon, planning his last act.
The Pool's Embrace
Reggie falls into a swimming pool, sputtering to the surface. He surveys the destroyed indoor facility, understanding Megumi's final strategy: using the collapsed floor to drop him into the water. Megumi stands on the deck, looking down. Reggie exits the pool, heavily injured, and confronts Megumi. They exchange final, desperate blows. Megumi delivers a brutal, decisive strike, splitting Reggie in half. Reggie falls, dead, into the blood-stained pool.
Megumi's Calculation
Megumi stands over Reggie's body in the blood-stained pool. He reflects on his strategy, recognizing Reggie's cunning even in defeat, acknowledging the bluff about Tengen and Kenjaku. Megumi then turns and walks away, leaving Reggie's body to float. He has outsmarted an experienced sorcerer.
The Comedian's Introduction
The scene shifts to Fumihiko Takaba, a man in a half-superhero costume, reacting with surprise and then a mischievous smile. Kogane, a small, winged skull, appears, announcing points. Takaba's cursed technique, "Comedian," is explained, allowing him to realize anything he finds funny. Kogane announces Reggie's death and point transfer, bringing Takaba's total to 100. Takaba seems more interested in his own strange abilities than in Reggie's demise.
An Angel Descends
In a dark alleyway, Hana and Remi walk, with Remi complaining about men. The scene then finds Megumi lying severely injured and bleeding, with Remi also sitting on the ground. A glowing, angelic figure, simply called Angel, descends from the sky, her wings luminous. Hana watches with relief, implying Angel's significance. Megumi, despite his injuries, looks up with a glimmer of hope.
