Haunted by a disaster he couldn't prevent, Yuji Itadori is left reeling. the Shibuya Incident left everything in ruins, and now the world's gotten even worse. This 12-episode TV series picks up with Japan fractured into ten deadly colonies where sorcerers, both modern and ancient ones pulled back from the dead, are forced into a kill-or-be-killed tournament called the Culling Game. The mastermind behind it all has essentially turned the country into a jujutsu battle royale, and Yuji, now with a death sentence back on his head, has to navigate it alongside unlikely allies like Choso while keeping an eye on Sukuna's unsettling fixation with Megumi. Oh, and Yuta Okkotsu, the guy from Jujutsu Kaisen 0, has been assigned to kill him. So that's fun. The vibe here is darker and more fractured than previous seasons. Characters are scattered, alliances shift fast, and the emotional stakes hit harder because everyone's already been through hell. MAPPA's animation stays sharp: the fight choreography in this arc is some of the most fluid and creative stuff they've done, with a cursed energy power system that keeps getting deeper. If you liked Bleach's Soul Society arc for the internal betrayals, or Tokyo Ghoul's atmosphere of a protagonist cornered by every side, this scratches a similar itch. Fans of Demon Slayer who want something with a bit more moral complexity will find a lot to dig into here.
This season covers Chapters 143-177 of the manga. Continue reading from Chapter 178.

sumi_e★★☆☆☆VerifiedEP 4Kill Bill the animation. But really this is just the animation doing the work, you don't feel any specific emotion towards this episode, they haven't setup Maki as this character you empathize, you empathize with her because the story tells you to, not because the story makes you to.
adjworthy★★★★★VerifiedEP 4Maki is my favorite character in the series so seeing her go all out was amazing! Only thing i will say is that some of the action was hard to see, Other than that, It was perfect.
adjworthy★★★★★EP 12By far the best episode in the series. The action elevated what the manga has shown.
adjworthy★★★★★AnimeThis might be one of the most consistent anime's i have ever seen. The scale of this was unlike any other anime. The production of this felt like an independent film.
shinanimewatcher★★★★★VerifiedEP 9So people were hyping up this episode like a prior week before its released, and I was at least somewhat curious to how it was going to play out, but once it dropped, it very much blew away my expectations. The early parts of it was more so just picking up from the previous episode where it was a dedicated buildup for one of the characters and getting to know them at a proper pacing. This episode also started off slow, mostly highlighting some of the characters' personalities in small tidbits and once that's out of the way, they went straight to the action. When I heard that one of the best current animators was working on it, it made me even much more curious to watch it. It delivered very much from both the action AND the storytelling which I think was the actual treat that the episode gave. The action was good but I think it wouldn't work as well if they took out the good storytelling aspect of the show. I love this episode so much.
shinanimewatcher★★★★★VerifiedEP 10So after watching the episode, I've been enamored by the direction that they took for the fights, along with how they displayed one of the villain's creativity when it comes to using his technique that it by far, beats the manga in a whole sense when comparing the fights between mediums. I've read the manga so I was kind of expecting what I would get from this episode, but it truly blew my mind that the animators or the entire animation staff went above and beyond with the anime's choreography and direction for the entire episode. It's like seeing actual video game gameplay in anime format, and if you know the context behind each character, it adds more depth and layers to how animation staff utilized their techniques in a very imaginative way.

khedz★★★★★VerifiedEP 4Incredible episode! The animation is fantastic, and the fact that we get to see Mai and Maki's bond fully develop is amazing. Maki's progress throughout the series is exceptional, but this episode is truly cinematic.
dio93★★★★★VerifiedEP 2The way Chose nailed it, such a great animation tho
sumi_e★★★★★VerifiedEP 12This was the most memorable moment of this season that it completely overwrite people's memory of this season. They completely forget about the awful pacing in front, all that remains is HYPE
