shortyvp★★★★★AnimeThe second season is definitely better than the first. It features plenty of twists throughout the story, and the action is much better than in the first season. I would definitely recommend watching it.
Long before he earned his reputation as the coolest teacher in anime, Gojo was a cocky teenager who thought he was untouchable, and this season shows you exactly what changed him. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is a 23-episode TV series that kicks off by rewinding to 2006, where a young Satoru Gojo and his best friend Suguru Geto are inseparable Special Grade sorcerers at Jujutsu High. They get assigned to protect a girl named Riko Amanai, and what starts as a straightforward escort mission spirals into something that reshapes everything you thought you knew about these characters. The first arc alone recontextualizes the entire first season. MAPPA went all in on the animation here: fight sequences have this raw, almost painterly quality that hits different from standard shounen fare. The soundtrack lands just as hard, shifting between eerie and adrenaline-fueled in ways that actually stick with you. The tone is darker and more emotionally heavy than Season 1. There's still that signature Jujutsu Kaisen energy, but the stakes feel more personal and the consequences more permanent. If you liked Bleach or Naruto's deeper arcs but wished they had tighter pacing and modern production, this is that. Fans of Demon Slayer's visual spectacle will find plenty to appreciate too, though the storytelling here leans more into moral gray areas than clear-cut good versus evil. It earns every bit of its reputation.

789687arif★★★★★AnimeBeautiful animation and great pacing. One of the most highly anticipated shounen anime of 2023. Did not dissappoint manga readers at all. MAPPA's decission to combine Hidden Inventory and Shibuya Arc into one season fits perfectly and provided important context for Gojo and geto's unfortunate reunion, as well as Geto's surprise reveal to the audiences. An abosulte rewatch-worthy series and surpassed season 1's story.

justanotherjoestar★★★★★VerifiedEP 15An unexpected but perfect combination of action and chaos. The reappearance of Toji had me on the edge of my seat from the start of the episode. I didn't even have time to recover after watching Jogo speedblitz Maki, Nanami and Naobito before Sukuna showed up!
thandeezy★★★★★VerifiedEP 17This episode was absolute madness. Sukuna vs Mahoraga looked insane visually and the level of destruction was crazy. Easily one of the best fights in the entire series.
josuke★★★★★VerifiedEP 5This episode broke my heart, especially because I understand you, Geto, even though I don't agree with your methods. The system destroys... but even more destructive was the separation of these two best friends, SuGeto 4ever :(
