Word of Honor 2nd Season
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Seconds away from losing his head at the Shanglin Celestial Palace, Xie Kanhua's rescue attempt goes sideways — the entire palace collapses, and a Demon Lord who's been locked away for twenty years walks free. That's just the first episode. This ONA from Flying Fish Studio is set in a world where celestial politics, martial arts rivalries, and demon lords all collide in ways that keep you guessing who's actually pulling the strings. The Hero Conference in Xuanwei Town gets weaponized by a schemer named Bai Jile, who drags the second-best fighter in the world into a trap, and suddenly the whole martial arts order is fracturing. What makes Jun You Yun II work is the layering — every character has an agenda, alliances shift constantly, and the supernatural elements feel earned rather than decorative. The 32-episode run gives it room to breathe without dragging. If you liked the tangled loyalties and sect drama of Mo Dao Zu Shi, or the elaborate puppet-master plotting in Thunderbolt Fantasy, this hits a similar nerve but carves out its own identity with a darker political edge. The tone leans more suspenseful than bombastic — there's plenty of action, but the tension between characters during a conversation can hit harder than the fight scenes. Based on a web novel, so the source material has depth behind it. Worth your time if you're into historical fantasy that doesn't hold your hand.
