📖 SYNOPSIS
Luo Li has spent his entire life trapped in the Yinzhou Continent — a place literally called 'soulless' — growing up to become the number one assassin of the Tianjue Killing Hall. Not exactly a wholesome upbringing. When his father, Master Ciyun, sacrifices himself to give Luo Li a shot at escaping to the Zhongtian Main World, the story shifts from dark survival thriller to something bigger: a journey toward actual immortality cultivation. This ONA from Wonder Cat Animation, adapted from a web novel, doesn't waste time getting heavy. Within the first couple episodes you've got parental sacrifice, a protagonist who's essentially a weapon trying to figure out how to be a person, and a new world that's not exactly rolling out the welcome mat for an ex-assassin from a cursed continent. The power system blends martial arts with mystical cultivation in ways that feel layered rather than just flashy, and the fight choreography backs it up with genuinely detailed animation. The tone sits in that emotional, action-packed space where the fights hit hard but the quiet moments between them hit harder. If you liked the cultivation journey in Stellar Transformation or the darker moral complexity of Mo Dao Zu Shi, this one walks a similar path with its own identity. It's a story about a killer searching for something beyond killing, set against a world that keeps testing whether he can actually leave that life behind.
