Honestly had me in tears throughout, currently writing this review at 3 am while sniffing.
The movie has such amazing writing, the emotional depth is stunning, and the two perspectives intertwine with perfect harmony. The character development is slow but certain and, in my opinion, perfectly paced.

Though I must mention, as a person who has watched the anime too, it's horrid how characters assume, for the most part, that Violet's life has been easy... when it has been clearly far from it,

The animation is fluid for the most part, and there are scenes where you can see it go into overdrive. The soundtrack brings everything this movie has to offer exceptionally well. It's perfectly timed, in such a way that it brings emotional intensity to every scene it has been implemented in.

The plot couldn't have been done better, honestly, and it's simple but horrifyingly effective. I loved this movie, and honestly, it's pretty rare for an anime movie to carry such depth, and this is one of those few gems.
