Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
After being reincarnated into the world of an otome game — the kind where girls romance pretty boys — Leon Bartfort finds himself as neither love interest nor hero, but a mob character, a background nobody in a world where women hold all the power and men are basically accessories. Armed with his knowledge of the game's plot and a healthy dose of spite, Leon clawed his way from nobody to baron in the first season, dragging Olivia and Angelica into his orbit along the way. Now in this second TV series from Studio ENGI, he's back at Holtfort Academy dealing with the fallout of everything he disrupted. His reincarnated sister Marie is still scheming, the kingdom's power structures are still broken, and Leon still just wants a quiet life he's never going to get. The thing that makes this work is the tone — it's a satirical isekai that actually commits to the bit. Leon pilots mechs in a fantasy world, picks fights with nobles, and treats the whole dating sim framework with the irreverence it deserves. The romance is there but it simmers underneath the comedy rather than drowning in it. If you liked the underdog energy of The Rising of the Shield Hero or the strategic game-breaking of No Game No Life, this scratches a similar itch. It's not trying to reinvent isekai — it's just having a good time poking holes in one very specific corner of it.
