The anime centers on Chinku, a young boy struggling with feelings of rejection. He believes his father does not love him, a painful reality for the child. His grandfather, who has been his sole support, further compounds his distress when he, too, rejects Chinku's offer of assistance. Overwhelmed by this sense of betrayal and loneliness, Chinku seeks an escape from his current emotional state. He finds solace, or perhaps a means of coping, in drawing circles with a large, heavy pencil. Through this act, he expresses his desire for time to move quickly, hoping to outrun his feelings of abandonment and the pain of his perceived rejection. This animated work was created as a Graduate Work at the Tokyo University of the Arts.
