The action sequences are genuinely well-animated, and the urban fantasy setting — secret subway lines, a hidden academy in a modern world — gives it a grounded edge. If you liked the school tournament structure of My Hero Academia or the "normal kid thrown into a dangerous supernatural world" setup of Jujutsu Kaisen, this hits similar beats but with a Chinese animation sensibility that keeps it fresh. The tone is youthful and action-packed without being mindless — there's real tension in knowing most of these students won't make it.
