📖 SYNOPSIS

Thunderbirds 2086 is set approximately twenty years after the original series, chronicling the adventures of the Thunderbirds, a rescue team working for the International Rescue Organisation (IRO). The IRO is a large, Federation-overseen organization, the 2086 equivalent of the United Nations, a significant departure from the original's smaller, family-oriented structure. The Tracy family from the original series are not present. The animated series focuses on the Thunderbirds team, who respond to natural and man-made disasters. Unlike the original, Thunderbirds 2086 features an ongoing story arc involving the Shadow Axis, an independence group led by the mysterious Star Crusher, who may be an alien entity. The series maintains a similar core premise to the original, with a focus on rescue operations.
