There was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In the most cliché fashion imaginable, Youki gets flattened by a truck and dies, then gets reincarnated in a fantasy world — standard isekai setup, right? Except he doesn't come back as the hero. He comes back as an overpowered demon hanging out in the Demon Lord's castle with zero ambition, just vibing as a low-ranking guardian because he genuinely doesn't care about world domination. Then the Hero's party shows up to storm the castle, and Youki wipes the floor with all of them on a whim. No big deal. But while he's healing them up to send them on their way, he spots Cecilia, the party's priestess, and immediately catches feelings. Now this absurdly powerful demon is trying to figure out how to confess to a girl who's literally on a mission to destroy his side. The whole premise is built around that tension — a romance where the guy is technically the enemy, but he's too lovesick to act like one. It's a comedic, romantic 13-episode TV series from Studio Gekkou, adapting the manga, and the tone stays pretty lighthearted throughout. Think less epic fantasy warfare, more awkward demon trying to flirt across faction lines. If you liked the comedic isekai energy of Cautious Hero or the cross-faction dynamics in something like The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses, this hits a similar spot. It doesn't take itself too seriously, which honestly works in its favor.
