The Unaware Atelier Meister
Oshimeter
Synopsis
At just 15 years old, Kurt Rockhans is working as an errand boy for a famous hero party called Flaming Dragon Fang. He carries bags, sets up camp, handles the grunt work — and he's genuinely happy doing it. Then they kick him out for being dead weight. No combat talent, no party, no income. Pretty rough start. But here's the thing: Kurt has SSS-rank abilities in basically everything that isn't fighting. Cooking, crafting, building, forging magical tools — the guy is absurdly talented and has zero idea. He takes odd jobs like repairing castle walls, and people around him start noticing that his "ordinary" work is borderline miraculous. Kurt himself? Completely oblivious. He just thinks he's getting by. That gap between what Kurt thinks he's doing and what he's actually accomplishing is where most of the comedy lives in this 12-episode TV series from EMT Squared. It's a lighthearted fantasy that swaps the usual power fantasy for something warmer — a kid whose kindness and everyday skills matter more than swinging a sword. The tone sits somewhere between the cozy found-family energy of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and the comedic misunderstandings you'd get in Konosuba. If you liked The Rising of the Shield Hero's underdog angle but want something less intense and more feel-good, this one fits that niche pretty well. It's not reinventing anything, but it's a pleasant watch when you want fantasy without the edge.
