Every scene is unexpected, every scene is a climax. They really saved the best for last. A very well written ending.
The Misfit of Demon King Academy
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Ages ago, the most powerful Demon King in history — Anos Voldigoad — ended a war between humans and demons by sacrificing himself, expecting to reincarnate into a peaceful world. He does come back — but nothing went according to plan. History's been rewritten, nobody remembers who he actually is, and the academy built specifically to welcome his return labels him a "misfit" because he's too powerful for their tests to even measure. That's the setup for this 13-episode TV series, and honestly, the fun is watching Anos not care at all. He's not angry about being disrespected. He's not brooding. He just casually proves everyone wrong while being genuinely kind to the people around him, like Misha Necron, the quiet girl who becomes his first real ally at the academy. The show knows exactly what it is — Anos will do something absurdly overpowered, like killing someone with his heartbeat, and the series plays it completely straight. It's that deadpan confidence that makes it work rather than feeling repetitive. SILVER LINK. handles the action well, and the orchestral soundtrack gives the whole thing more weight than you'd expect. The mystery of who corrupted demon history and erased Anos from it keeps things moving forward beyond just the power fantasy. If you liked the vibe of The Devil Is a Part-Timer or the demon king school setting of Kyo Kara Maoh, this scratches a similar itch but leans harder into the action side. Worth the 13 episodes.
