📖 SYNOPSIS
"Shion no Ou" centers on Yasuoka Shion, a 13-year-old female Shogi player. At age five, Shion witnessed the brutal murder of her parents. The killer, after committing the crime, challenged her to a game of Shogi, instructing her to forget what she saw and to never speak again to survive. Now, Shion is a rising star in the world of professional Shogi, her silence and exceptional talent drawing attention. As she competes, questions about her past resurface, and the memories of that fateful night begin to return. The series explores themes of trauma, memory, and the pursuit of truth within the context of the strategic game of Shogi.
