Synopsis

Born into a world of royalty, princess Athanasia de Alger Obelia arrives carrying memories she never asked for, and those memories come with a very grown-up problem — she remembers her past life, and those memories come with a spoiler she really didn't need: her own father, Emperor Claude, is going to have her killed. Not out of malice, exactly, but out of sheer indifference. He doesn't care about her. He never will. And that knowledge hits different when you're an infant who can barely hold her own head up, let alone flee a palace. Her plan is simple enough — keep a low profile, stockpile resources, and get out before things go sideways. But fate has other ideas, and she ends up face-to-face with Claude way earlier than expected. What follows is this tense, emotional dance between a daughter trying to survive and a father she's terrified of but still, against all logic, wants to love her. The father-daughter dynamic is genuinely the heart of this 16-episode ONA from Colored Pencil Animation, and the animation itself is gorgeous — rich colors, detailed backgrounds, the whole package. The tone is more emotional than you might expect from the premise. If you liked My Next Life as a Villainess for the reincarnation-into-a-doomed-character setup, or Ascendance of a Bookworm for a protagonist scheming her way through a world stacked against her, this one scratches a similar itch. Based on the popular web manga, it's a slower burn focused on court intrigue and family wounds rather than action.

Bittersweet. Athy enters Claude’s mind to save him and confronts deep emotional truths, including the past with Diana. It’s a dramatic, heart‑wrenching journey, especially as Claude wakes up and a twist that subverts expectations but hits hard emotionally. :(((
