The Comic Artist and His Assistants Specials
Oshimeter
Synopsis
At just 22 years old, Yuuki Aito already has a serious obsession with drawing women's underwear, yet this manga artist somehow still has assistants willing to work with him. These six bonus specials pick up right where the main series left off, giving you more short-form episodes of Aito being an absolute menace to his long-suffering assistant Sahoto Ashisu, a 19-year-old aspiring manga artist who keeps showing up to work despite every reason not to. The dynamic between them is the whole engine here — he's genuinely kind underneath the perversion, she's genuinely talented underneath the exasperation, and the comedy lives in that gap between who these people could be and who they actually are on any given day. Each episode is bite-sized, so you can knock out the whole set in one sitting without committing to anything heavy. The humor leans ecchi and doesn't pretend otherwise, so if that's not your thing, fair warning. But if you enjoyed the main Mangaka-san to Assistant-san series and just want more of that same energy, these specials deliver exactly what you'd expect — no more, no less. If you liked the creative-industry comedy of Comic Girls or the chaotic harem energy of Love Hina, this fits right in that lane. Think of it as dessert after the main course, produced by Zexcs with the same lighthearted seinen tone throughout.
