The underwater nation of Cayenne is a fresh addition to the lore, and Yura is an interesting new character who brings a different energy to the group dynamic. Studio 8bit handles the action sequences, and for a movie budget, you can expect the set pieces to hit harder than the TV episodes. If you're into isekai world-building like Overlord or the political layers in Re:Zero, this scratches a similar itch but with that distinctly warm Slime feel. Fans of No Game No Life's fantasy spectacle will find something to like here too.
