Tamagotchi Short Animation 2nd Season
Oshimeter
Synopsis
So you kept a digital pet alive on a keychain in the '90s — yeah, the Tamagotchis — turns out they have a whole planet, and it's exactly as cheerful and ridiculous as you'd expect. This ONA follows Mametchi — a brainy, eager Tamagotchi — and his crew: Kuchipatchi (the friend who's always thinking about food), Memetchi (the fashion-obsessed one), and Lovelitchi (aspiring singer, naturally charming). Together they navigate life in Tamagotchi Town, and in this second season the early episodes have them trying to pull together a town festival, which predictably goes sideways in the most low-stakes, wholesome way possible. Studio Colorido handles the animation, and the chibi art style leans hard into cute without being cloying. There's a catchy little soundtrack that fits the vibe perfectly — bright, bouncy, nothing heavy. The episodes are short, so it's the kind of thing you throw on when you want something warm and uncomplicated. It's comedy built around friendship and small daily mishaps, not big dramatic arcs. If you liked the bite-sized goofy energy of BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! Pico or the comfort-food feel of Himouto! Umaru-chan, this hits a similar note. Kaginado fans who enjoy seeing familiar characters in lighthearted skits will probably get something out of it too. It's not trying to be anything other than fun, and for what it is, it works.
