📖 SYNOPSIS
Chen Ning is a genius hacker who dies saving humanity from a rogue AI, only to wake up as the leader of a powerful cultivation sect in another world. Cool, right? Except every single member of his sect is a spy planted by rival factions. Every. Single. One. So now he's sitting at the top of a sect full of people pretending to be loyal while secretly working against him, and he has to figure out who's pulling the strings without blowing his cover as a confused guy from another dimension. His approach is basically: keep a low profile, observe everything, and let his modern analytical mind do the heavy lifting in a world that runs on ancient martial arts and spiritual cultivation. It's a fun setup because the tension isn't really about big fights — it's about Chen Ning playing 4D chess with a roomful of people who are all also playing their own games. The espionage layered on top of a traditional cultivation setting gives this ONA a flavor you don't see often. If you're into shows like The King's Avatar where a protagonist uses unconventional thinking to dominate, or you enjoyed the sect politics and intrigue in Mo Dao Zu Shi, this scratches a similar itch from a completely different angle. The animation leans into traditional Chinese aesthetics, and the pacing keeps things tense without dragging. Based on a novel, produced by Suoyi Technology, and worth checking out if you want isekai that's more brains than brawn.
