EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming directly off Episode 1's introductory rush of Mitsumi arriving in Tokyo and stumbling through her first day, Episode 2 slows down to establish the social landscape she'll be navigating all season. It transitions from setup to character groundwork, letting early friendships — particularly with Shima — develop the roots that later episodes will test and deepen. As episode two of twelve, it's doing essential foundational work for the relationship dynamics and personal growth arcs that define the rest of the series.
