📖 SYNOPSIS
Lloyd trained under a legendary sorceress and became a white mage who you'd think would earn some respect. Instead, the hero party's leader treats him like dead weight and kicks him out on a whim. Now Lloyd's wandering around town, unable to find anyone who wants a support-class member, completely oblivious to the fact that he's absurdly overpowered. That's the setup for this 12-episode TV series, and if you enjoy watching a humble protagonist slowly realize they've been underselling themselves the whole time, this one lands pretty well.
Things shift when Yui, the leader of an S-Rank adventurer party, practically begs Lloyd to join her team for a personal mission. What starts as a simple high wolf hunt turns out to be way more dangerous than expected, and Lloyd's abilities start speaking for themselves even as he keeps insisting he's nothing special.
The vibe here is less power fantasy victory lap and more quiet redemption arc. There's genuine warmth in watching someone who was made to feel useless find people who actually value what he brings to the table. The show also does something nice by treating the white mage role as legitimately important rather than just "the healer who stands in the back."
If you liked Banished from the Hero's Party or The Shy Hero and the Assassin Princesses, this hits a similar sweet spot — low-key fantasy with a protagonist finding his footing outside the group that never deserved him.
