📖 SYNOPSIS

"Samurai Jam -Bakumatsu Rock-" unfolds in the Bakumatsu era, a time when the Tokugawa shogunate's rule is nearing its end. The shogunate maintains control through the Shinsengumi, who use brainwashing "Heaven's Songs" performed by top idols to subjugate the populace. Any form of music outside of these sanctioned songs is strictly forbidden, punishable by death. Amidst this oppressive environment, Sakamoto Ryouma and his fellow rockers emerge as a force of resistance. They challenge the status quo with their rock 'n' roll music, aiming to liberate the people and fight for justice against the tyrannical regime. The anime explores themes of freedom, rebellion, and the power of music to inspire change.
