EPISODE CONTEXT
Coming off the eerie encounter with a death-predicting fortune teller in Episode 8, 'Fight Party' pivots from mystery into full-throttle combat, deepening the rivalries and personal stakes that have been building across the early stretch of the journey west. The episode further develops the Kougaiji dynamic that becomes increasingly central as the series progresses. It directly sets the stage for Episode 10, 'False Saviors,' by complicating the characters' alliances and exposing the fractures in their motivations.
