Rooster Fighter
📖 SYNOPSIS
Keiji is nothing more than a rooster, but he walks into a city and punches a building-sized demon in the face. That's Rooster Fighter, and it's exactly as ridiculous as it sounds. In this version of Japan, colossal mutant demons started appearing three years ago, and while the military can barely slow them down, one ordinary-looking rooster has been wandering from town to town, picking fights with kaiju-class monsters using nothing but raw poultry fury and a devastating cock-a-doodle-doo battle cry. He's not doing it for laughs though — Keiji is hunting a specific creature called the White Demon, the one responsible for killing his sister. So underneath all the absurdity, there's an actual revenge plot driving him forward. The comedy comes naturally from the premise itself: everyone around him reacts to the fact that a rooster is saving their lives, and the show never winks too hard at its own joke. It just commits. SANZIGEN is handling animation, and their 3D style gives the action sequences a distinct, punchy feel that fits the tone well. If you enjoyed the deadpan absurdity of something like Muteki Kanban Musume, or the way Air Master turned a weird fighting concept into genuinely entertaining brawls, this hits a similar nerve. Futakoi Alternative fans who appreciate shows that go completely off the rails tonally will probably vibe with it too. It's a rooster fighting demons. You already know if this is for you.
