Synopsis

Cold, efficient, and unsettling in every way, Su Xiao is the kind of hunter whose precision with a blade makes everyone around him deeply, viscerally uncomfortable. He's bound to something called the Reincarnation Paradise — a system that throws him across different worlds to complete brutal quests, and failure isn't really an option. But none of that matters as much as the one thing he can't let go of: watching his parents die, and the gray-hatted figure responsible for it. This ONA, based on a popular Chinese web novel and animated by DC Impression Vision, drops you into a modern world where supernatural forces hide just beneath the surface. The first episodes establish Su Xiao as someone who's already deep into this life — he's not learning the ropes, he's cutting through them. There's an intricate power system here that blends martial arts with otherworldly abilities, and the animation leans into this contrast between gritty urban environments and fantasy elements in a way that actually works. The vibe is dark, methodical, and revenge-driven. If you liked the psychological weight of Re:Zero but want something more combat-focused, or if Tokyo Ghoul's blend of urban horror and personal loss hit the right notes for you, this sits in that same neighborhood. There's also a Noragami-like thread of gods and supernatural hierarchies woven through the worldbuilding. The atmosphere stays heavy — moody soundtrack, muted palette, tension that doesn't really let up. It's the kind of show that trusts its premise enough to just let things be bleak.
