Ramen Akaneko Season 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Tamako Yashiro is a total dog lover, yet she ends up working at a ramen shop staffed entirely by talking cats. That's the setup for Ramen Akaneko, and this second season picks right back up with Tamako Yashiro navigating her deeply unusual workplace. Her boss Bunzo is a no-nonsense cat who takes his broth seriously, and the rest of the feline crew each bring their own brand of chaos to the kitchen. Season 2 introduces new cat staff members early on, which means fresh personality clashes and even more absurd workplace scenarios as Tamako tries to keep the shop running smoothly while being the only human on the team. The whole thing runs on the comedy of a normal person stuck in a fundamentally ridiculous situation — think less epic adventure, more cozy hangout show where the coworkers happen to have whiskers and tails. It's got that same warmth you'd find in Gourmet Girl Graffiti but trades the food-focused sentiment for workplace humor closer to Neko Rahmen's vibe. If you ever enjoyed Muteki Kanban Musume's restaurant comedy energy, this hits a similar note but way more relaxed. The anthropomorphic cat characters are genuinely charming without being saccharine, and the human-cat culture gap is a surprisingly good well for jokes. It's a short-form comedy based on a shounen manga, so episodes go down easy. Good pick if you want something light and funny that doesn't ask much of you.
