A mermaid princess named Purple Star just wants to go back to human school and run for queen — school queen, not ocean queen, she's already got that covered. Her dad's not thrilled about it, but she talks him into letting her return to land. Things go sideways almost immediately when she loses her magic wand and princess dictionary while protecting her friend Leo from the Blobs, these weird minions working for a villain called Black Dia. Luckily, the guardian of the sea hooks her up with new gear, and now she can create bubble gems that power up the other mermaid princesses. The catch? She can't make one for herself.
