Synopsis
After finally scoring his own apartment, Yi-hyuk is ready to live his best independent life — except his next-door neighbor apparently runs a demolition derby at all hours. Sleep-deprived and losing it, Yi-hyuk marches over to confront the source of the noise, a guy named Jeong Mid-eum, and immediately makes everything worse by accidentally punching him in the face. Great first impression. What follows is a short ONA series of five episodes where Yi-hyuk cycles through every strategy imaginable — petty pranks, passive-aggressive power moves, straight-up begging — to get Mid-eum to keep it down. Mid-eum, naturally, does not budge. The whole thing plays out in this tight apartment-complex setting that keeps the two of them constantly in each other's orbit, and the comedy comes from how their antagonism slowly shifts into something neither of them planned on. It's a Korean BL with a distinctive animation style that feels fresh compared to the usual Japanese productions. The episodes are short, so you can knock the whole thing out in one sitting. The vibe is light and comedic, built around that enemies-to-something-more arc where the tension between the leads does a lot of the heavy lifting. If you liked the bickering dynamic in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi or the way Love Stage!! leans into absurd situations bringing two people together, this hits a similar note — just condensed and modern. Worth the quick watch if you're in the mood for something breezy.
