📖 SYNOPSIS

A thousand years before the story begins, a meteorite shattered and rained down on the world, leaving behind fragments pulsing with godlike energy. Naturally, humanity immediately started killing each other over them. After one city's lord gave his life holding back the worst of it, the survivors — mostly mechanics — rebuilt from the rubble and founded St. Beroro Academy, a school where students learn to harness technology tied to those fragments. That's where the story picks up in this ONA adapted from a manga by studio HM Heros. You've got a young protagonist finding his way through the academy, but the school isn't just wrenches and blueprints — there's something deeper going on with the fragments, and the fallout from that ancient war hasn't fully settled. The animation blends traditional and CGI in a way that gives the action sequences their own flavor, and the power system built around the meteorite pieces has some genuine thought behind it. The vibe is action-packed with a streak of mystery running underneath, closer in feel to something like Shaonian Ge Xing or Chang'an Shaonian Xing than your typical shonen academy setup. If you liked The Young Brewmaster's Adventure and its blend of world-building with coming-of-age beats, this scratches a similar itch. It's not trying to reinvent the wheel — it's just a solid entry in that Chinese action-adventure space with enough going on to keep you curious about where the fragments lead.

✨ MUST WATCH IF...

You're into post-war academy settings where mechanics rebuild civilization from mysterious meteorite fragments
Action-driven Chinese anime (donghua) from HM Heros studio sounds like your thing
You dig stories where a city's dark wartime past clashes with a hopeful school-life present
Sci-fi meets fantasy premises—"fragments of God" powering both conflict and technology—hook you instantly

❌ SKIP IF...

You strictly watch Japanese anime and don't vibe with donghua art styles or storytelling conventions
A vague premise with no confirmed episode count or release date feels too risky to commit to
You want a proven track record—HM Heros doesn't have widely known titles to build confidence
