📖 SYNOPSIS
For years, Mahiro Oyama has been holed up in his room, spending his days playing erotic visual novels while his genius little sister Mihari watches him waste away. Her solution? Slip him an experimental drug that turns him into a girl. Not metaphorically — he wakes up as a small, biological female. The premise sounds wild, and it is, but the show leans into it with such a warm, comedic tone that it just works. Most of the humor comes from Mahiro reluctantly adapting to life as a girl — things like going to middle school, making friends for the first time, and slowly realizing that maybe leaving his room wasn't the worst thing that could have happened to him. The sibling dynamic between Mahiro and Mihari carries the whole thing, with Mihari being equal parts caring sister and mad scientist observing her test subject. If you liked the body-swap chaos of Your Name or the gender-bender comedy of Ranma ½, this is in that neighborhood but with a cozy slice-of-life feel closer to Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl. Studio Bind handled the animation, and they went way harder than they needed to for a 12-episode comedy — the character animation is genuinely impressive and full of personality. It's a lighthearted, funny show about identity and growth that sneaks up on you with how endearing it becomes.
