Ninja Box 3rd Season
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Hidden beneath a regular neighborhood, a secret high-tech ninja training facility waits to be found — and three kids stumble right into it. That's basically the setup for Ninja Box 3rd Season, and honestly, it works way better than it has any right to. Kento is the gadget-obsessed builder of the group, Haruka is deep into ninja history and lore, and Ryuji is the quiet one whose family apparently has some connections to the town's hidden past. Together they stumble into the 'Ninja Box' — a place where ancient ninja traditions meet modern technology — and their ordinary after-school lives get a whole lot weirder. This ONA keeps things light and comedic, mixing slapstick humor with bursts of action as the trio tries to figure out what being a modern-day ninja actually means. The episodes drop on an irregular schedule, so each one feels like a little surprise rather than something you're tracking week to week. It's based on a game and aimed at a younger audience, but if you grew up watching Nintama Rantarō or enjoyed the ninja-kid energy of something like Ninja Cadets, there's a familiar charm here. Think Shinobi no Ittoki but goofier, lower stakes, and more focused on the fun of discovery than any big dramatic arc. It's a chill watch — short episodes, bright animation, kids doing ninja stuff with gadgets. Sometimes that's exactly what you need.
