New PANTY & STOCKING with GARTERBELT
Oshimeter
Synopsis
A pair of fallen angels who turn their lingerie into weapons are back to fight ghosts in a city built on the border between Heaven and Hell. That's the kind of show this is. Panty and Stocking Anarchy return to Daten City in this long-awaited sequel from Studio Trigger, picking up after the original's chaotic cliffhanger. The Hell Gate failed to open properly, ghosts are everywhere, and the sisters still need to collect Heaven Coins to earn their way back upstairs. But now their demon rivals, Scanty and Kneesocks, are crashing at Garterbelt's church because they need Hell Coins to get back to their side too. Two pairs of sisters who hate each other, stuck under the same roof, forced to deal with the same supernatural mess. On top of that, a pair of angelic brothers show up with their own unclear motives, which only makes things messier. The animation style still looks like a Western cartoon that got possessed by an anime — bold, flat, and deliberately crude in a way nothing else really matches. The soundtrack slaps hard, with Taku Takahashi and TeddyLoid back on production duties. The humor is raunchy, the action is surprisingly sharp, and the gag-to-minute ratio is relentless across all 13 episodes. If you liked the absurd energy of Punch Line or the irreverent tone of Heaven's Lost Property, this hits a similar nerve but cranks the parody and vulgarity way higher. Fair warning: it earns that ecchi tag and then some.
