I understand that Igarashi is too innocent, and she’s not very clear about her own emotions, so sometimes it’s hard to empathize with her, especially because she’s still emotionally immature. I remember that in my early 20s, I was probably a little like this in romantic situations too... but I still feel like I want to push her a bit so she can be more brave. Actually, her whole circle is basically doing that already! Everybody knows!
