My Mental Choices Are Completely Interfering With My School Romantic Comedy
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Cursed with the worst superpower imaginable, Kanade Amakusa is forced to choose between two or three options that pop up in his head at random, and every single option is embarrassing, crude, or socially devastating. There's no "ignore it" button. He picks one, and his body acts it out whether he wants to or not. Naturally, his reputation at school is in the gutter. Then one day, the choices give him something new: a beautiful girl named Chocolat literally falls out of the sky and into his life. She's been sent from the "God World" to help him complete missions that might finally lift the curse. The catch is that Chocolat is about as helpful as you'd expect someone who fell from the sky to be. This is a 10-episode TV series from Diomedéa, and the short runtime works in its favor — it never overstays its welcome. The whole appeal is watching Kanade get blindsided by increasingly absurd forced choices while trying to maintain some shred of dignity around a growing cast of eccentric girls. It's light, silly, and leans hard into its premise without pretending to be deeper than it is. If you liked the awkward supernatural comedy of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions or the harem-with-a-twist setup of Oreshura, this hits a similar groove. The romance is there but the comedy is really driving things, and the "Absolute Choice" gimmick keeps scenes from ever feeling predictable.
