My Classmate's a Sexy Actress, and Now We Live Together?!
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Imagine sitting in a college seminar, and the quiet girl next to you — glasses, no makeup, barely talks to anyone — turns out to be the adult actress whose videos are all over your browser history. That's the premise of Onaji Semi no Someya-san ga Sexy Joyuu datta Hanashi, a TV series based on a web manga, and it handles that setup way better than you'd expect. The protagonist isn't some sleazy guy trying to leverage the situation. Once he accidentally discovers Someya-san's double life, the story becomes about two people navigating the weirdest possible foundation for a friendship. She's genuinely shy and introverted in person, completely different from her confident onscreen persona, and that gap between who she is at work and who she is in class drives most of the tension. He has to figure out how to treat her like a normal classmate when his brain keeps short-circuiting. The tone lands somewhere between the romantic awkwardness of Rent-a-Girlfriend and the earnest "accepting someone's secret passion" energy of My Dress-Up Darling, but set in a university with more mature subject matter. If you liked either of those but wanted something that felt a little more grounded and adult, this is worth keeping on your radar. It's ecchi for sure, but there's a real emotional thread running through it about boundaries, perception, and what it means to actually see someone beyond the image they project.
