My Awkward Senpai
Oshimeter
Synopsis
As the ace of her company's publicity department, Azusa Kannawa is efficient, reliable, and someone everyone finds slightly terrifying. The thing is, she's not actually tough. She's just really, really bad at talking to people and has been covering it up with a stone-cold poker face for years. It works fine until Yuu Kamegawa, a new hire, gets assigned to her as a mentee, and suddenly she has to interact with someone daily who isn't fooled by the act at all. What follows is this 12-episode TV series of small, grounded moments — Azusa trying way too hard to seem approachable and overshooting it, Yuu quietly figuring out what she actually means versus what she says, and the two of them slowly developing something that neither is ready to name yet. The comedy here comes from genuine awkwardness rather than slapstick or misunderstandings played for drama, which makes the romantic moments land with more weight when they arrive. If you liked Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku or My Senpai is Annoying, this hits a similar frequency — adult characters, office setting, low stakes but high charm. It's closer in feel to Servant × Service with its workplace ensemble vibe, though the focus stays tighter on the central pair. Based on a seinen manga and animated by Studio Elle, it's a quiet rom-com that doesn't need big setpieces because the character work does all the heavy lifting.
