Muramata-san no Himitsu
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Patient, professional, and always willing to cover for people when things go sideways — that's the kind of coworker Muramata is, and everyone around her knows it. Her subordinate Kaji keeps messing up at work, and after one particularly rough day, she takes him out for drinks to decompress. Their usual spot is closed, so she brings him back to her apartment instead. That's where things shift. Behind the polished office-lady exterior, Muramata has a secret she's never shared with anyone at work — something personal she calls her "youthful foolishness" — and being home, relaxed, and a little vulnerable is enough to let it out. What follows is the two of them navigating that unexpected intimacy together. The setup is quieter and more grounded than most in this genre. It leans into the slow buildup of an adult relationship rather than jumping straight into the deep end, which gives the characters a bit more texture than you'd expect from a two-episode OVA. The office dynamic between a senior employee and her subordinate adds a layer of tension that the story actually uses. If you've watched something like Ane wa Yanmama Junyuu-chuu and appreciated a story that takes its time establishing character connection, this one has a similar patience. Fans of Kanojo x Kanojo x Kanojo who liked grounded domestic settings over fantasy scenarios will also feel at home here. It's adapted from a manga, and that source material gives it a cleaner narrative backbone than most productions in this space.
