Mofusand
📖 SYNOPSIS
Imagine a cheerful orange tabby cat wearing a shark costume, just vibing through life with their little crew of costumed cat friends. That's Mofusand, and honestly, it's exactly the kind of thing you put on when your brain needs a rest.
Shark Meow is a slightly clumsy orange tabby who, for reasons never really questioned, wears a shark suit everywhere. Their friend group includes Orca Meow, Strawberry Meow, Rabbit Meow, and Little Meow — a rescued baby kitten the gang looks after. Together they don't really do anything dramatic. They find warm sunny spots in the park. They eat sweet potatoes. They watch the first snow fall. That's kind of the whole deal, and it works way better than it has any right to.
This ONA from Studio Monster's Egg leans hard into cozy slice-of-life territory, with short episodes that are basically little palate cleansers between heavier watches. The character designs are ridiculously charming — each cat has their own costume gimmick, and the art style has that soft, rounded look that makes everything feel gentle.
If you liked Bananya and its absurd cat-in-a-banana energy, this hits a similar note. Fans of Chi's Sweet Home will recognize the same emphasis on tiny everyday moments being treated as genuinely meaningful. It's not trying to be anything more than warm and pleasant, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.
