📖 SYNOPSIS

"Meiken Lassie" tells the story of John, a spirited young boy living in a small coal-mining town in England, and his loyal dog, Lassie. John finds Lassie as a puppy and they quickly become the best of friends, loved by everyone in town. Their idyllic life is disrupted when the local coal mine closes. John seeks help from the mine owner, who agrees to investigate but demands Lassie as payment.

Lassie is taken to Scotland, but Priscilla, the owner's granddaughter and John's friend, can't bear to see Lassie caged. She sets Lassie free, beginning a difficult journey. The anime follows Lassie's arduous trek from Scotland back to her hometown, highlighting themes of loyalty, friendship, and the enduring bond between a boy and his dog.
