📖 SYNOPSIS
Every three days, sixteen magical girls get pulled into a virtual RPG through their phones. They're supposed to cooperate — fight monsters, solve puzzles, collect Magical Candy — but there's a catch. The ten billion yen prize at the end only goes to whoever lands the finishing blow. You can probably see where this is heading. What starts as an uneasy alliance quickly becomes a powder keg of suspicion, strategy, and betrayal. The mascot running the show, Fal, feels deliberately opaque about the rules, and characters like Pfle — a wheelchair-bound strategist who clearly knows more than she lets on — make you question every interaction from the jump. Pechka just wants to survive, Clantail tries to hold things together as a leader, and meanwhile everyone's doing the math on when cooperation stops being worth it. Each girl has a completely different power set, so the tactical layer here is genuinely interesting — alliances form and dissolve based on who complements who and who's expendable. The tone is dark and action-packed, leaning hard into survival-game tension rather than traditional magical girl warmth. If you liked Puella Magi Madoka Magica's bait-and-switch into despair, or the ruthless elimination stakes of Magical Girl Site, this is in that lineage. It also shares DNA with Yuki Yuna is a Hero in how it examines what being a magical girl actually costs. Studio SynergySP is adapting the Restart arc from the light novels, and the premise alone makes it one of the more compelling setups coming in 2026.
