In a near-future city where law enforcement has a certain... flexibility to it, Officer Aiko navigates her role as part of an elite unit. She's partnered with the enigmatic Detective Ryo, and together they're investigating a string of incidents stirring up trouble beneath the city's polished surface. What starts as a crime procedural setup quickly reveals itself to be something warmer and more personal between the two leads — the case is almost secondary to watching their dynamic unfold. Based on a manga by Himuro Serika and part of the Secret Anima series, this 1998 single-episode OVA from Ripple Film keeps things moving at a tight pace since it only has one episode to work with. The animation holds up reasonably well for its era, and the blend of crime-thriller atmosphere with the relationship between Aiko and Ryo gives it more texture than you'd typically expect from a release like this.
